The Better Business Bureau issuing a warning to area businesses about forged payroll checks. The checks in question appear to be issued by Valley View Care Center LLC, 101 Liberty Lane Anson TX. The checks appear to be payroll checks however Valley View official say these checks are bogus. All checks are made out to a Patricia Ramirez for the amount of $399.85. Some checks are drawn on the Bank of America, Citi Bank and another bank in New Mexico. Apparently the checks are being passed in various Texas cities.
The Bureau suggests caution in accepting these checks and should consider the situation like a forgery in progress. Anyone with information regarding the suspect passing these counterfeit checks should contact the Abilene Police Department at 673-8331.
